I was sitting at home, and I receive this wonderful text from a sister.
“Today, your skin is flawless, your hair is glowing, your smile is perfection, and your laughter, contagious. Today, like every other day, you are beautiful, because you are a daughter of the King of Kings, and you shine the light of His love and glory.”
Thank you, for the reminder (: I think this needs to be shared with more sisters, so please help remind others of this fact, for we are made perfectly in God’s eyes.
“You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb.” – Psalm 139:13
We must remember that the things of this world are not what makes us beautiful. Our beauty comes within, and while others may seek us for our external features, God simply wants our gentle spirit and contrite heart.
“Don’t be concerned about the outward beauty that depends on fancy hairstyles, expensive jewelry, or beautiful clothes. You should be known for the beauty that comes from within, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is so precious to God.” – 1 Peter 3:3-4
External beauty doesn’t last (The smart models retire while theyre on top- aka Tyra Banks).
“Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last; but a woman who fears the Lord will be greatly praised.” – Proverbs 31:30
How amazing is that? Quite so, if you ask me.
